Turn the glass around. You don’t receive a worldview — you bring a question, and it comes back clarified, sourced, seen from more than one side.
„Klassische Medien zeigen dir ihr Bild der Welt. Wir drehen den Spiegel um — Looking Glass spiegelt deine Fragen zurück. Die Mitglieder besitzen das Medium und ihre eigenen Daten.“
An editor decides what the world looks like and broadcasts it at you — your attention is the product, your data is sold. We turn the glass around: the medium answers to your inquiry, not to an editorial line or an ad auction.
A mirror, not an oracle — it surfaces what is known and hands it back as material to think with. You decide.
A real question you actually have — about an event, a claim, a decision, a topic.
The system gathers what is known — sources, evidence, the strongest case on each side — and hands it back. It surfaces; it does not rule.
Your questions and your trail of inquiry are yours — stored for you, owned by you, never sold, never used to target you.
The Looking Glass Cooperative is its members — soli.coop, writing and governing its own medium. Its authors, its owners and its members are the same people. That is what makes the inversion real.
Members write the medium and own it — its direction, its rules, its surplus — instead of shareholders or advertisers. The authors are the owners; no outside owner sets the line.
Your questions and history belong to you, not to an ad platform. This is structural, not a setting: a medium funded by its members has no reason to extract from its own owners.
The system reflects and investigates neutrally — it presents perspectives and evidence and lets you navigate. It does not push a line, does not claim certainty it lacks, and makes no promises it can’t keep.
The Looking Glass Cooperative is not running yet — this page is an example. Full membership would run through soli.coop. For now you can simply leave your details so we can stay in touch. Choose how:
